Don’t Be Too Fashionably Late
“Fashionably late is a grace period rather than something you should aim for,” advises Post.

“A host is usually planning on people arriving within the first half hour and factor in cocktail hour based on that. As a guest, look at it as a 5 to 15 minute arrival window.” On the flip side, you also don’t want to arrive too early. “Your host is likely to be finishing up the last tasks and won’t be prepared for your arrival,” warns Post.
