"Create a meal plan for the week for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Only purchase the food items you need for those particular meals," recommends Lane. "If you have a sudden craving during the week, you can make a separate trip. If going to the store again sounds like too much work, then you did not really need that additional food item in the first place!"
