Be Efficient
“Replace your incandescent bulbs with high efficacy LED bulbs. Make sure you purchase quality bulbs that have a high CRI (close to 90) and make sure you are buying the highest wattage equivalent bulbs available,” recommends Kraus.

“For example, A 6W LED would give you the same light output as a 60W incandescent bulb, but a 15W LED will give you the same output as its 150W incandescent equivalent while staying way below the max wattage for most fixtures," he says. "Also make sure all of your bulbs have the same color temperature so the color of the light is even and consistent throughout the room and your entire house.”
