Maria’s Beach
A surfer’s paradise, Rincon has drawn professional and amateur surfers from all over the world. This very chill town became famous when it hosted the 1968 World Surfing Championship at Maria’s Beach (then known as Rincon Point) and Domes Beach. Legend goes that a beloved woman by the name of Maria sold cokes to the surfers during the tournament, hence the name.
