Sleight of Hand
Unlike her home in North Carolina, Si's San Francisco home lacks a guest bedroom. So rather than sending close friends and family to a hotel, she has devised a clever way to completely disassemble the desk and replace it with a bed.

"So the home office Ikea desk is removed — the desktop lays on the wall and the two drawer cabinets are stored on top of each other for space management. We can then fit a queen bed on the floor for our guests.”

As in the rest of the home, the covetable office furnishings are mix of high and low. The desk is Ikea, the Boucherouite rug is from Secret Berbère, the wall organizer is the Vitra Uten.Silo and the industrial chair, Fritz Hansen Kaiser Idell Wall Lamp and tulip chair are all thrifted.
