Since recently elected Governor Gavin Newsom is making the move to the state capitol of Sacramento, the politician and his wife documentarian Jennifer Siebel Newsom are putting their Marin County house on the market. The high-profile couple just listed their Kentwood home for $5.9 million, according to Realtor.com.

The pair bought the mid-century modern property back in 2011 for $2.225 million. Located on 1.38 acres, the five-bedroom home is the perfect retreat for their family of five. Built in 1950 by Worley K. Wong, the space was later remodeled by architect Julie Dowling. With clean lines and lots of large glass windows, the home is a modern light-filled treat.

While the family might miss their amazing views of Mount Tam and the San Francisco Bay, we have a feeling the California first family will make their new home just as stylish as this cool pad. Want to take a full tour? Read ahead to explore the property.
