Naturally, the kitchen is the place where Wiedemann spends most of her time — whether that's cooking, writing for her site Impatient Foodie, or penning her newly released cookbook.

"My cookbook is written as an A to Z (asparagus to zucchini) guide, with each ingredient having four recipe suggestions. Before I wrote my book, I noticed that all the cookbooks I owned assumed that I was reading my cookbooks first and then going shopping."

"But the truth is, I go shopping and then look at my cookbooks for ideas on how to cook what I purchased. So the Impatient Foodie Cookbook is designed for that moment when you get home from the food market or farmers market and need some inspo. For example, did you come home from the farmers market with too many beets?"

"My cookbook has four different recipe suggestions for beets that includes a main, a side, a garnish, and a dessert. Did you buy a mountain of herbs and then only use five leaves for a garnish on a dish? I have an entire chapter on recipe  suggestions for how you can use all the herbs up from pastas to desserts."
