When asked about the renovations the house needed Wiedemann explains the home was basically a gut job.

"The entire house had to be renovated, especially the things behind walls like electricity and plumbing," she says.

"When I finally got the keys and we could open a wall to see what was behind, the old wires were still there; and when I say "old", I mean OLD — they still had cloth wrapped around them!"

"So the infrastructure of the house was a major focus of work, and then the top floor was gutted and given a completely new layout. Otherwise, the layout of the house is as it was and maybe always has been."
