Cold emails can get you a lot further than you'd think. Just ask Elizabeth Rees of removable wallpaper line Chasing Paper. Rees sent textile designer Rebecca Atwood a quick note about collaborating but wasn’t exactly sure if she’d get a response back.
Well, not only did the talented Brooklyn-based Atwood write back, fast-forward to one year later and the two design heavyweights just debuted a line of four peel-able patterns that are great for kids spaces and beyond — and add the signature Rebecca Atwood touch into your home. Known for her elevated and soft-colored fabrics, Atwood is a pattern powerhouse. Combine that with Chasing Paper's easy-to-use panels, and you've got yourself a dream collab.
"I love the idea of removable wallpaper as it’s less of a commitment," Atwood tells Lonny.
"I wanted to create a collection for kids that was also sophisticated enough for adult spaces too! This concept gave me a bit more freedom to play with more whimsical ideas like our clouds pattern." The panels, which glide on and off in a cinch clock in at $40 and come in a variety of colors, too. Home makeover without the work? We'll take it.
