The 25th of December is almost upon us, so we here at Lonny thought it'd be fun to show our readers how we celebrate—and decorate for—the holidays. Today, we continue our holiday decor tour with a peek at my no-fuss "celebration situation."
(Ph. © Sean Santiago / Lonny)I don't have the space for a Christmas tree in my humble Brooklyn abode, so to bring a little holiday cheer into my apartment I bought a sweet and simple—not to mention real!—candle wreath from Green Valley Christmas Trees. It smells fantastic and arrived in perfect shape, which I appreciated since it required no fluffing. To make it my own, I tucked a few yellow craspedia flowers that I picked up from the farmer's market into the branches and added a couple of pinecones.
(Ph. © Sean Santiago / Lonny)I also threw in a few Eucalytpus leaves to create height and depth. The great thing about a candle wreath is that you can add in whatever flowers you want, sort of like you're designing a fantasical headpiece that will be worn by your table. (It's the small joys in life.) Plus, it's not too much of a committment. How are you decorating for the season?
