(Zach DeSart/ Lonny)Whenever we get ready to launch a new edition of Lonny—our October 2013 issue goes live at midnight EST tonight, everyone! Get excited!—I always feel a little sad about saying goodbye to the one that preceded it. It's silly, really, since all of those ideas will always be just a click away. Still, there's an inevitable sense of loss.
So, before we bid adieu to our lovely September issue, I wanted to take a lingering look at Jonathan Adler and Simon Doonan's New York City bathroom. On first glance, I couldn't help but be drawn in by the cheery orange textiles, the classic white subway tile, and the warm gold fixtures throughout.
(Zach DeSart / Lonny)But what really got me was that custom shower stall—where's the tub? I happen to agree with Schmidt from New Girl: when put to their intended use, bathtubs, aka "Medieval filth cauldrons," are gross. But many otherwise sane people would choose a bath over a shower any day. Right? Or is that just some myth girly soap companies have been perpetuating? If you could only have one, which would you choose?
