Line We're Loving: Ace & Jig

We learned a lot of things on our most recent cover shoot: a foolproof method for rigging the perfect canopy, how to drive a U-Haul, and the fastest way to break down a pile of cardboard boxes in a downpour. We also learned about a new clothing line, Ace & Jig, brought to our attention by wardrobe stylist Danielle Nachmani when she dressed cover girl Lake Bell in a covetable striped skirt from the fall collection.

Started by friends Cary Vaughan and Jenna Wilson (who met while working for cool-girl brand LaROK), the line is all about ease and earth-friendliness, with an emphasis on special fabrics. "Our inspiration has always been found cloth, heritage textiles, and antique textures. Tactile surfaces that are authentic and substantial, yet feel soft and worn," say the designers of their mission. We fell in love with the French feedsack-look skirt Bell sported in our July/August issue, thrilled at the thought that the fabric we love on pillows could work so seamlessly in the A-line shape, and have our eye on the laid-back dresses and boho-chic scaves in the spring collection, currently in stores.
