Lonny's Top Pins of the Week: Ceiling Treatments

Lonny pinners are looking up! It seems that the ceiling-as-afterthought will no longer do. Here are this week's most popular design ideas for your overhead space:

Pinners revisited the 2010 reno' of Tom Dolby and Drew Frist's Hamptons getaway, in which designer David Cafiero papered the ceilings of a guest bedroom with a graphic shamrock-hued motif.

Cafiero continued the trend in the home's second guest bedroom and powder room, covering both ceilings and walls with a lavish blue-and-white wallpaper from Brunschwig & Fils.

Not surprisingly, the first day of spring has spurred interest in outdoor coverings, such as Deborah Needleman's sunny patio shaded by an open-weave grass blanket and festive paper lanterns.

Michel Van Devender of Lisa Sherry Interieurs created an unexpected focal point in her kitchen by painting a Union Jack-inspired mural in the recessed ceiling.
