It looks like we have officially entered the season of 2018 color trend predictions. Dunn-Edwards is next up with its pick for the year's top color. It's pick? A beautiful dark shade of gray blue-green called "The Green Hour," named for that five o' clock hour in turn-of-the-century Paris when drinking absinthe was all the rage. "While the drink color is a more vivid green, The Green Hour reflects the time and era," states Dunn-Edwards.
Sara McLean, color expert and stylist for the brand, found data that green has been trending over the past few years, particularly shades from lighter cactus and mint greens, to darker teal and blue-greens. Choosing a rich color within that spectrum made sense moving into the next year.
Another reason to paint your walls in the shade? The company is donating 10% of all sales of The Green Hour to Beautify Earth, a non-profit group bringing together artists and communities for neighborhood beautification. Sounds like a great incentive to get your home on trend!
