It’s amazing what bleach can do. We were smitten as soon as we saw the textured pattern and muted color of the napkins and were even more impressed when we saw the flat, lackluster way they looked at the outset. If there were an elevated take on the acid-wash effect, this would be it.

The project, dreamed up by Brittni Mehlhoff of Paper & Stitch, is upcycling at its finest. Round up those homely or stained linens you’ve been meaning to replace, or buy a few cheap specimens at the store, and then go to town with Brittni’s bleaching technique. This is one of those ridiculously easy projects that is not only super quick, but also barely requires any materials. We can’t wait to set a pretty spring table with these stunners.
