The Cult Stroller for Holiday 2014
Score serious style points with Bugaboo's Warhol-inspired sun canopies.
When I was a new parent, Bugaboo was my savior. This isn't mere hyperbole. The sui generis stroller got me through a sloshy, sleety New York winter with a fussy baby who would only sleep on the move. Needless to say, I got intimately familiar with every city sidewalk and rugged Prospect Park trail there was to know. And Bugaboo, my ever-trusty companion, was the stroller I could rely on to keep my colicky infant riding in smooth style. Now the company is marking the end of its two-year collab with the Andy Warhol Foundation with the launch of its final series, the Retrospective Collection.
Because wouldn't it make you happy to push a banana-emblazoned sun canopy around your neighborhood? Admittedly, this is more of a parental self-indulgence, a little wink to the latent hipster who once had the iconic Velvet Underground album on repeat. Or what about the eye-catching Marilyn Monroe print, inspired by Warhol's silkscreen series? And then there's the Globetrotter, designed by Flavor Paper founder Jon Sherman and featuring a series of planes, trains, spaceships, and more on a vintage map background. If you're looking for a statement stroller with a sense of humor, you've come to the right place.
