Bottega Veneta vs. Jonathan Adler
Bottega Veneta designer Tomas Maier is known to keep things simple: for the Italian brand's Fall 2014 collection, he put out a pared-down assemblage of dresses in straightforward shapes, owing their beauty to complicated construction and zig-zagging hem details. Jonathan Adler, by contrast, is nothing if not over-the-top, utilizing loud color and print for everything from ceramics to sofas. So it may come as a surprise that a Maier-conceived dress and an Adler-designed pillow should strike a similar style chord; the question is, who did it better?
