"When cleaning out your closet, break everything up into yes, no, and maybe piles. Your maybe pile will be the largest," says Yamasaki. "First, take your no's and either consign or donate them to get them out of the way. Then when you sift back through your maybe's, consider why did you buy it, what opportunities do you have coming up where you can wear it again, and how you can wear it. You can always keep something for 6 months and then consider it again."
