Since publishing more works with The New Yorker, the illustrator has been exploring a number of different themes surrounding the social and political turmoil of 2017. "My first piece was about how Mitch McConnell first wanted to repeal Obamacare," says Nguyen. "It depicts him with a health insurance symbol (the Cadaceus) as a tattoo on his face next to his eye. The caption was this is a 'tattoo you get when you cold-bloodedly take away healthcare from 22 million Americans.'
