Tricky Trims
“Baseboards, crown molding, door casings, and doors require a paint that can withstand some wear and tear. Choosing a paint that's made for these areas is your best bet,” suggests DeKellis. “Valspar door and trim paint resists scuffs and scratches and no sanding or priming is needed.”


“As far as color goes for trim, white is not the only option. Painting a windowsill a fun color is a great way to add interest to a room in an unexpected way,” she says. “Also, interior doors and closets can be painted in various colors or even match the color on the walls in the room.”
