Turn Off The Lights
"This is interior-shooting 101: Never take shots with the lights on—they cast a hazy yellow glow and create unexpected pockets of glare. Instead, pay attention to when the sun is best and shoot accordingly. Generally, light is less harsh and better for photos in the early morning and late afternoon. That said, we live in a little San Francisco Victorian that faces south with no windows on its east or west sides, so our light is actually best around midday when the sun is high in the sky. In most rooms we have unlined white curtains that help soften it."
