Pretty and practical, adding upholstery to a wall can work to help minimize noise especially if you have a lot of hard surfaces like wood, metal, or concrete. "It helps with acoustics," says Mia Jung of Ike Kligerman Barkley. "The upholstered panels in a softer color also added warmth to the room which is important for balance if the furniture style is more industrial."
