Instagram Stories: The Stylesetter Behind the Curtain
Rosie D'Argenzio has been inspiring your interiors, and you didn't even know it.
If you're a design lover and an Instagrammer, chances are you've encountered a wormhole-worthy hashtag dreamed up by Rosie D'Argenzio. As head of content and social media for one of our all-time favorite online shopping destinations, One Kings Lane, she's got the brilliant task of inspiring you (and us!) with gorgeous interiors, products, and everyday moments that make us want to beautify whatever we can get our hands on. As it happens, the job has the same effect on her: "The drawback of working at OKL is simple: I want to redecorate my apartment just about every month," she admits. "Seriously, last night around 11pm I asked my husband if we could move and rearrange one of our étagères. Surprisingly he wasn’t that into it." Ah, the struggles of being an interiors obsessive.
When she's not hatching midnight floor plans, D'Argenzio is busy turning the design world on its head via social media alongside some of the coolest creatives in the industry, documenting her inspiring travels, and throwing one hell of a pin-able wedding. An Insta of two cities
"I love both [New York and San Francisco] for very different reasons. I think the interior spaces in New York provide more visual intrigue and inspiration. Even the teeniest, most obscure coffee shop will have a beautiful light fixture or tile detail that will inspire a refresh at home. San Francisco, on the other hand, is my favorite place for the easy-to-get-to and totally breathtaking vistas. I love hiking out at Stinson Beach. At the top, the fog covered landscape feels so magical."
The dream job
"Coming to work at One Kings Lane has actually changed my life, which is a funny thing to say about a job. A day can range from meeting with our photographer and stylists for an Instagram campaign, to working on new initiatives like The Studio at One Kings Lane, our design service and brick-and-mortar showroom. The amazing thing about new media like social is that the platforms themselves are constantly changing, so every day feels like there is a new discovery to be made."
"It was really fun to work on combining elements of my Italian heritage with my husband’s Punjabi upbringing. The day before our wedding we had a henna party for the ladies and all my bridesmaids wore custom saris we had made for them in India to the rehearsal dinner. We had colorful garlands hanging from the magnolia tree we got married under and flat weave dhurries all over the lawn. Dinner was a raucous family-style Italian meal: polenta, meatballs, handmade cavatelli, and blood orange sorbet with a splash of prosecco for dessert."

All of those publications (Tiny Atlas Quarterly, Afar Media and Conde Nast Traveler) are gems and provide a lot of inspiration when planning a trip, near or far."
