Honor Brodie, Creative Director of Tory Burch

Ten questions with Honor Brodie, the Creative Director of Tory Burch.

1. What is your greatest professional accomplishment?
Translating my print experience online. It was such a privilege to learn the art of magazine making at InStyle and, before that, at Vanity Fair, and then to take those skills to ToryBurch.com. I feel incredibly inspired working with Tory and the web team. Our goal is to create a unique content experience.

2. What is your most prized possession?
My children’s silver baby cups and bowls, engraved with their initials and their dates of birth. They sit on my vanity filled with necklaces and earrings.

3. Who is the person who most embodies “style”?
My husband. Impeccably dressed, well-read, and always a gentleman. Tory also is a huge inspiration. She has an innate sense of style and is genuine.

4. In what historical period would you most like to have lived?
Late ’70s in LA.

5. With what fictional character do you most identify?
Kelly Garrett (Jaclyn Smith’s character on Charlie’s Angels). I love her because she was streetwise, sensitive, and loyal. Great hair.

6. Where do you feel most inspired?
Running around the Central Park Reservoir listening to music too loudly.

7. In your next life, who or what would you most like to be?
Queen Rania. She is smart, stylish, and making a difference.

8. What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Going for a swim in the ocean on a scorching-hot day with my family.

9. What's your favorite new Tory Burch item this season?
I love the bold mix of color and print of our Liesa sweater. And I love the shape of our modern square sunglasses.
