Twelve eco houses, two tree houses, and one main house set on pristine parkland offer modern accommodations that blend into the stunning natural surroundings. The pod-like tree houses in particular offer a completely unique place to stay. The interiors, lined in pine, are punctuated by a large window and skylight offering dramatically framed views of the greenery just beyond. Even crossing the catwalk-like entry bridge is a theatrical experience.

Nature trails, a boating lake, and mini golf should keep kids entertained, while adults indulge in the offerings of the incredible Alvaro Siza Vieira–designed spa. The Pritzker Prize-winning architect transformed the interiors of a traditional 1890 building to create a soothing, ethereal environment, which houses a mineral-rich, natural thermal spa, an indoor pool, sauna, hammam, and more water-centric treatments.
