Watercolor Wednesdays: Pink Palazzo

Palazzochupi
A few weeks ago Pantone announced it's 2011 Color of the Year: Honesuckle Pantone 18-2120. It's a kind of a deep reddish pink. I love this choice. Maybe I use too much of this color in my paintings but I love it too much to stop. It's the color of Julian Schnabel's Palazzo Chupi on Far West 11th st. I could live in this deep coral pink building with washed out pink walls every day of my life! What I love most about it is that it has no business being in New York but is just works.
