Charles Eames said, “The details are not the details. They make the design.” It’s the perfect aphorism with which to approach the MoMA’s latest exhibit, “Plywood: Material, Process, Form
,” opening tomorrow. The instillation pays homage to plywood’s rich history and influence in design. You can expect to see work from some of the 20th century’s most outstanding designers, including Charles and Ray Eames, Alvar Aalto, and Eero Saarinen. In honor of this flexible form, we’ve rounded up some iconic plywood pieces. Enjoy!
