Eco Find of the Day: Cabin Spray by Juniper Ridge

Ever since I read this article in Outside magazine a few months back, I've been obsessed with the idea of "the nature cure." Who doesn't feel better walking through a redwood forest, taking in the beauty of a desert landscape, or feeling the breeze off the coast? Being in nature is as healthy for the mind as it is for the body—a much-needed dose of perspective and peace complete with fresh air and scenic views.
With a tagline that reads "the mountains in a bottle," the Oakland, California-based company known as Juniper Ridge had me at Big Sur. And Cascade Glacier. And Inyo Canyon. Those evocative names are well deserved, because the fragrances are literally harvested from nature—the 100 percent plant-scented home and body products are each stamped with a harvest number, and their product pages include images from the backcountry hikes on which the plant trimmings and tree boughs were sustainably harvested. You can even follow the company members' Field Lab adventures here.
Juniper Ridge's newest Cabin Spray line of products will make your home smell like a true nature retreat—until you can get there for real.
