Eco Find of the Day: Wooden Sunglasses by Capital Eyewear

I love it when designers use materials in unexpected ways. So I'm absolutely smitten with these wood-framed sunglasses by Capital Eyewear.
Each pair is individually handcrafted in San Francisco using only sustainably harvested domestic hardwoods. (If hardwood floors can take a beating from my heels, these frames should stand up well to the mayhem that is my purse.)
Cherry, walnut, two-toned! And the lenses (100 percent UV protection) are Carl Zeiss—known, according to the company, to make the strongest and sharpest lenses on the planet.
