Serena & Lily's Co-Founder Wants To Paint Your Shoes
A panel and partnership you won't want to miss.
It wasn't long ago that the interior design house Serena & Lily took over the decor world — one hand-painted textile at a time. Its unique patterns and prints quickly became the must-have bedding and furniture upholstery, and now, the company's co-founder and former designer Serena Dugan is taking her artistry to the next level.
Today, Dugan is a Bay Area-based independent painter. Her design aesthetic and knack for creating patterns are still very much alive — perhaps more so now than ever — and we're kind of obsessed with her latest works (think clean lines, bold colors, and geometric shapes). So, when we heard that Dugan is taking commissions to paint Freda Salvador shoes this weekend at Clare V.'s San Francisco shop, we immediately cleared our calendars — naturally.
The artist will be using acrylic leather paint (so it won't chip!) to bring her clean, modern creations to your feet at the Hayes Valley shop starting around noon. Join in on the fun this Saturday at 344 Linden Street, and enjoy the shopping, chatting, and painting throughout the day. See you there!
