The Citizenry's Newest Launch Takes You On A Trip To Chile
From frazadas to mesmerizing mirrors.
When it comes to curating incredible pieces from local artisans around the globe, few do it better than The Citizenry. Well the home decor company just launched their newest collection — and we have to say it's one of their best yet. Centered around beautiful findings in Chile, the launch offers a mix of beautiful textiles, unique bronze art, and mirrors that truly make a statement.
"As a region rich in natural materials — wood from Patagonia, copper from the Atacama deserts — Chile was a no brainer for us," shares The Citizenry co-founder Carly Nance. "We couldn’t wait to highlight the depth and diversity of this country’s landscape."
"We wanted the native Chilean materials to shine through each one of the designs," explains Nance. "Whether it be bronze wall hangings and mobiles or wool frazada rugs, this collection brings an artful take to these incredible materials."
Best of all? The Citizenry works directly with each of the local artisans to create unique and authentic items for the collection. From the husband and wife team behind Quilicura Design Studio to bronze-worker Abel Cárcamo to the Weavers of Araucania, the company shares the stories of all their Chilean creatives to help give credit and context to their work.
"We searched high and low for the best designers and makers in Chile," says Nance. "From renegade design studios in Santiago to traditional Mapuche weavers in Temuco, we’re partnering with true artists in their craft. A mix of natural materials and high-design details, this is one of the most artful collections yet."
Since this collection is sure to sell out, we definitely recommend popping a frazada into your cart ASAP.
