IKEA's Latest Collection Is Made Just For You
The minimalist empire is bringing uniquely made items to their mass-market.
When we think of IKEA, we think of the simple, modern necessities every home needs. However, in their latest collection, INDUSTRIELL, the Swedish design empire is changing things up. By adding a touch of imperfections and handmade quality to the usual mass-produced, uniform items, IKEA is bringing in a personal element into their stores.
The new collection is designed in collaboration with Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek, offering uniquely-made glasses, plates, ceramics, tables, chairs, and more, all which hold a special human touch.
With INDUSTRIELL, IKEA is expanding their purpose beyond the functional yet ubiquitous furniture pieces. A trip to the minimalist mecca can now include a few original finds, too. In these objects, you'll see uneven surfaces, irregular boarders, and heavy brush strokes that made objects feel as though they have an added element of personality.
Keep an eye out for this special, first-of-its-kind collection from IKEA, launching in April 2018.
