A New Kids' Collection That Never Grows Old
Here's what happens when two savvy design brands get together.
When it comes to decorating kids' rooms, one major factor comes into play: time. The evolving needs of a little one makes a room difficult to complete, simply because the design is ever-changing! This is where The Inside and Maisonette come in.
The Inside, an interiors company inspired by legendary tastemakers and contemporary fashion, designs and manufactures all of their pieces in the USA. Founded by Christiane Lemieux, The Inside strives to create style centric interiors with a personal touch. Similarly, Maisonette is founded by Vogue magazine alums Sylvana Ward Durrett and Luisana Mendoza Roccia, and is the first one stop e-tailer for style conscious parents in the digital age.
Together, the two companies collaborated on a new collection inspired by the kid's decor conundrum. The collaboration between The Inside and Maisonette is built upon musings of children's rooms — animals, checks, confetti, and functional yet design centric furniture — and the results are both classic and original. The fabrics within the collection are customized and made-to-order, the Inside even incorporated Maisonette's signature doodle print.
The collaboration was a natural fit, as Maisonette offers unique prints and The Inside has flexibility in custom-printed designs. The results are playful and flexible, and of course, timeless.
