Check out the TV in the picture above. Can't see it? It's there right in the center. I know. We were shocked too. Thanks to a collaboration between Samsung and Yves Béhar, there is finally a TV out that we won't mind having exposed in our homes. The new design called The Frame is going to hit stores this spring and completely change the television design game.
Named for its picture frame-like appearance, the new technology performs like a normal TV. Yet once you switch it to Art Mode, the screen can cycle through more than 100 paintings and photographs from internationally recognized artists curated by Elise Van Middelem. Whether you place it within a gallery wall or on its own as a centerpiece, your TV will actually mimic a real work of art.
In addition to being totally artistic, this TV is also super smart. Motion and light sensors turns the screen completely off if they doesn’t sense activity in the room and will adjust the brightness of the display based on ambient light levels. With a TV this intelligent, maybe it will cancel out how guilty we feel binging on our fave reality shows.
