Where you get your groceries is important, but the criteria with which you evaluate the local supermarket—fair prices, fresh produce, a reserve of your favorite Ben & Jerry's flavor—are probably pretty different from those you use when shoe shopping. But what if Karl Lagerfeld designed the aisles? That was the case at this morning's Chanel runway show, which reimagined Paris's Grand Palais as the "Chanel Shopping Center," a big-box grocery outlet replete with Coco Choco cereal, Jambon Cambon (ham named after Coco's Parisian address), and Délices de Gabrielle (the founder's given name). We're dying to know if the Kaiser designed the packaging for these gourmet delights himself. What do you think—would you swap Whole Foods for charcuterie chez Chanel?
