Designer Serena Crawford's Escapades in India
With the help of our favorite social medium, we take a visual vacation to the ornate corners of South Asia.
Following South Africa–based interior designer and architect Serena Crawford on Instagram is like adding a little visual feast of inspiration to your endless scroll of brunchgrams. From safaris on the savanna, to behind-the-scenes looks into her grand projects, Crawford tantalizes wanderlusting design dreamers with every image she posts. The aesthete is currently traveling in India, where every turn or jaunt on a rickshaw envelopes the senses. Her followers are transported right alongside her, whether relaxing in languorous poolside respites or admiring ornate interiors.
It's no surprise the designer paid a visit to Bar Palladio, a Jaipur watering hole proudly featured in our May 2014 issue. We recently learned in yet another India travel story that gin and tonics were invented in the country, and we can't think of a more appropriate cocktail to order in what owner Barbara Miolini describes as a "Rajasthani rococo" gathering place. Don't you agree that Crawford's candlelit snaps further prove such a statement?
