Lunch Amongst The Redwoods
"While I love stopping at old-school diners while road tripping, there is something special about having lunch in a well-designed restaurant in the middle of nowhere," says Kamin. "Big Sur Roadhouse is one of my favorite restaurants in Big Sur. San Francisco designer Steve Justrich created a mid-century modern pit-stop perfect to rest and relax from the road."

The restaurant features exposed beams, geometric art,  classroom style dining chairs paired with wooden tables and a patio area with fire pits. The “homegrown modernism” as the designer calls his style, perfectly blends into the surrounding.
