Don't Fall Into The Storage Solution Trap
“When you're not designing from the ground up, it's easy to let limited storage and design flaws feel overwhelming,” says Boyle. “As a result, lots of people turn to store-bought organizational or storage solutions. The trouble is, these solutions often cause other problems. They're usually visually unappealing themselves, take up already precious room, and they're rarely easy to transform as your storage needs shift.”

“Focus instead on storing only what you really need and on keeping your objects themselves pared down and tidy,” she suggests. “If you get your spices under control in neat jars, it doesn't matter if the cabinet you have to store them in is a little wonky. And, if you find you really do need a special storage container, opt for something that can easily reused for another purpose should you want to shift things around again — wooden crates, metal bins, mason jars, etc. can live many lives!”
