Modern Feel
With function sorted, the designer focused on form. “Amy likes a mix of vintage, feminine, and modern,” Waters says. To that end, she installed an elegant blue encaustic cement tile by Clé with a Gothic design on the floors.

“Blue is such a classic color that felt perfect for her kitchen,” the designer says. For lighting and hardware, she selected fixtures, handles, and knobs with an oil-rubbed bronze finish — “another classic that feels appropriate for a 1930s home.”
