7 Designers With Cool Creative Side Hustles
Alison Pickart
For Alison Pickart, her side hustle happened serendipitously. The interior designer was headed to a wedding and was in need of a great piece of jewelry. When her search left her empty-handed, Pickart was inspired to create her own jewelry.
"In the interiors work I do, the ‘final product’ gratification can take years to get to, where all of a sudden this was an outlet to conceive of something, execute it and have the final product all in short order," she shares.
Today, her line the Frippery Collection sells statement necklaces made with attention-grabbing stones, crystals, and beading.
