A Designer Reveals The Most And Least Requested Design Styles
Sure, we may have been partial to a flower crown and a bit of fringing during seasons past, but we're not totally shocked to learn that bohemian style has fallen out of vogue.
"The bohemian design style used to be one of the most popular of the past five years, so popular that it has now become more passé and considered too trendy," says McCarthy. "The style consists of global influences — macramé, floral patterns, mudcloth and the mixing of textures, and is majorly influenced by the 60’s and 70’s."
Despite a dip in the ratings, McCarthy says many still remain true to their favorite style code. "There are clients that are true Bohemians, and will always have a love for this style. We look forward to seeing how the style continues to reinvent itself."
