Not sure how to break down your daily meals? “It’s super easy as long as you are in touch with your body and the signals it is sending,” says Claiborne. “Over time you can be in touch if you’re hungry or full or craving something. Sometimes you’ll think, ‘Oh I really want to eat.’ But maybe you just are thirsty.”

“It’s important to keep in mind that when you are eating a vegan diet, you don’t have to count calories or eat small portions,” she adds. “As long as the food is wholesome, it’s going to be healthier for you and you may need to eat more volume. Also think about if you have a sedentary lifestyle, you will need less than someone who is very active.”
