Former baseball player Alex Rodriguez must be champing at the bit to officially be under the same roof as fiancé Jennifer Lopez. After proposing to J. Lo in the Bahamas earlier this week, the World Series star majorly cut the price of his L.A. bachelor pad by $1.5 million, according to Variety.

The former Yankees player purchased the 3,700-square-foot abode from Meryl Streep back in 2014 for $4.8 million and he listed the house at the end of 2018 for $6.6 million. Now on the market for $5.25 million, the four-bedroom, four-bath Sunset Strip home is priced to sell.

Built in the 1950s as the Honnold and Rex Architectural Research house, A-Rod’s abode was part of Architectural Products’ experimentation with new materials and designs during the midcentury period. The dwelling recently was remodeled, giving the kitchens and bathrooms a sleek update.

Although the house has undergone a contemporary facelift, architectural elements from its mid-century heyday can still be found throughout. Read ahead to explore the historic space.
