With every runway season, be it Fall, Spring, Pre-Fall, or Resort (yes, those are "seasons" too in the fashion world) comes a definitive set of trends. From New York to Milan, London, and Paris, fashion designers showcase their wares, and often, a few similarities arise from collection to collection—a handful of shows reference the 1960s, another grouping favors animal print. The most compelling pattern in our eyes, however? Color trends. When perusing the looks from the recent Pre-Fall 2015 collections, one of the most striking hues that continuously popped up was a vibrant mustard yellow—a few years back, interior designers might have called it Harvest Gold. Offered full-force in a pants look by Belgian Cédric Charlier or as a more nuanced lining by American Narciso Rodriguez, the color took center stage on certain runways and acted as a supporting figure in others—to no less impactful effect.
