News We Love: Carolina Irving Joins Oscar de la Renta Home

Don't you just love hearing about good people going to good places? Here's a particularly inspiring bit of news for a Friday afternoon: Textile designer Carolina Irving, a longtime Lonny favorite, is the new creative director of Oscar de la Renta Home.

Irving succeeds interior designer Miles Redd after his storied 10-year run in the position. Her editorial work at the late and lamented House & Garden (one of our all-time shelter favorites) and currently as a contributing editor to Deborah Needleman's T magazine makes her the consummate industry insider. She also holds a special place in our hearts for being one of the featured homeowners in Lonny's very first issue (October–November 2009). Here, a look back at some of our favorite images from that shoot of Irving's Manhattan residence.
