Lingerie to Room: What to Wear Where

Here at Lonny, we find that rooms inspire all sorts of lifestyle choices—from what to serve for dinner (that red cranberry sauce would really pop on a black lacquered table!) to what to wear (that pink bomber jacket is such a Kelly Wearstler's living room moment). But not until now have we considered interiors as inspiration for what goes under our clothes. A wintry, off-white room translates to a tea-stained lace bra; billowing satin curtains resemble silky, loose-fit pajama pants. From underpinnings to loungewear, we've got five inspired lingerie-to-room pairings that will make for the comfiest kind of camouflage.

A cream and gold lingerie set from Lonny favorite Hanky Panky reminds us of the warmly neutral tones of this modern country living room—the antler lamp base even echoes the fine curves of the bralette's satin ribbons.

A silk kimono-style robe by Beautiful Bottoms is all about lounging in luxury, much like the embellished headboard in this lush, layered bedroom.

For the girly girl with an eclectic streak, pairing animal print and blush pink can be a perfect expression of style—both in a textural living room and underneath your clothes, with this lace and leopard confection by Mimi Holliday.

Polka dots can be sophisticated—as evidenced by both a voluminous window treatment and these chic pajamas from British designer Olivia von Halle.

Turquoise skews unpexpectedly dramatic (and romantic) on both a corseted bra by Lonely and a gorgeously detailed wall treatment in Jamaica's Trident Castle.
