“I think we’re all bored of the high-contrast, white and black, Scandinavian space. Don’t get me wrong, I love a neutral palette like the next girl, but boy am I ready for a change,” remarks Breer. “I think we’re seeing it in fashion too — the trend is going away from the minimal box-cut smock and heading to the leopard print overalls.”

“It seems like we’re all craving to be surprised, to see something new and unexpected. I think in large part because of the social media era we’re in — we’re exposed to so much now, it’s the like stakes are raised to hold our attention,” she says. “I think it’s going to motivate some folks to get weird and I think we’re going to see spaces that are layered with patterns, textures, and bold colors.”
