Place an upward facing light in a room you spend a lot of time in. Studies have shown that looking up and standing taller enhances energy and moods, and these lights encourage this uplifting posture. Adding brighter lights—particularly with full-spectrum light bulbs that are widely-available—can boost weariness and counteract some of the effects of winter blues.
