We know what we're bringing to all of our NYE parties this year. After this lovely package of wildly delicious, totally addictive homemade truffles arrived at the Lonny offices—care of designer Katy Skelton—we begged her for the recipe. Bonus: All you need are three ingredients and mini-cupcake baking cups.
-- 1 (16-ounce) package of Oreos
-- 1 (8-ounce) package of cream cheese, softened
-- 2 (8-ounce) packages of semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted
Directions (adapted from this similar recipe):
1. Crush 36 cookies—in a food processor or in a resealable plastic bag using a rolling pin—to fine crumbs; place in a medium bowl. Add cream cheese; mix until well blended. Roll cookie mixture into balls, about 1-inch in diameter.
2. Place balls in mini-cupcake baking cups and pour melted chocolate over the ball to cover.
3. Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.
Holiday tip from Katy: "Try crushing up peppermints and sprinkle them over the top."
