The Handmade Bedding You're Going to Want to Steal from Your Kids
Channel those playful boho vibes with Hiho Batik's new custom collection.
There was the slightest hint of chill in the air in New York City last night, which served to underscore the reality that our warm-weather season is drawing to a close. But we're digging in our heels and keeping that summer feeling alive just a little bit longer. Here's how I plan to do it, kids' room edition: by swapping out my toddlers' current bedding scenario (think Hello Kitty and Batman) for these cheery, beachy, West Coast–evocative hand-dyed duvets and pillows by Hiho Batik.
The beloved Brooklyn boutique and batik studio (read about our all-ages crafting party here) recently debuted a collection of custom handmade bedding in three styles: Splatter, Stripes, and Dip-Dyed. We're particularly fond of the latter for its moody, on-trend effect that evokes the Venice beach bungalow of our daydreams. Duvets come in twin and full sizes and coordinate nicely with the store's collection of pillows. And if they look good to you now—just think of how much they'll lift your spirits in the dead of an East Coast winter.
